Not really. You will do better by selecting the right ‘kind’ of slot to play. Don’t play the gimmick types like the giant reels or hotel lobbies. Also look at the payout charts, if the payouts do not increase for every type of win with each additional coin played, then don’t play! By this I mean some machines only pay true odds on the first 2 coins played and the 3rd coin is only for the top few combinations. So, normally on a 3 coin slot if you get 3 ‘any bars’ you would get 15 in return, but a machine like I described above would only pay 10 coins! This will cut into your playing budget quicker than a traditional payout scale. Another helpful tip would be to make sure you are playing max coins, if you cannot afford to play max coins then you need to step down to a denomination that you can afford to play max coins. Most machines will only payout the top amount if you are playing max coins. I once saw a lady playing a progressive machine, get the winning combination with only 2 coins in (3 coin max). She did win $10,000, but if she played max coins she would have won 2.3 million…ouch. Tough way to save $1! Bottom line is that slots are terrible, if you prefer machines then go for video poker. Also look for slot machines that advertise a payout return of %98-%99. Good luck and have fun.

No, there is really no way to increase your odds of winning on regular slot machines. Each spin has the exact same odds of hitting as the one before it. The only exception is Video Poker where you can maximize your odds by learning how to play “by the book”. You can ensure you get the best payout on slots by always playing “Max Bet”. On many machines you must play “Max Bet” to be eligible to hit the “Jackpot”.

Slot machines are completely random. The people that lurk and wait for someone to leave are just wasting their time, they have the same odds as everyone else.

mmm … depends what sort of slot machine
if its like the ones where you have loads of 1/2/5/10p at the bottom … and you put your coins into 3 different slots and push the money forward
then you could try either waiting for some1 who has been on one for ages and then go on it
or try stomping on the floor instead of banging it
